The Jeep Wrangler JK has been one for the more successful lines of vehicles for Jeep. Making its debut in 2007, the JK carries on the third generation of Jeep’s Wrangler off road vehicle. 2018 was no different as the JK returned with 5 different trim levels to appease just about anyone looking to purchase a 2018 Wrangler.
These 5 trim levels give you everything from your base model, standard feature Wrangler to the fully decked out MOAB edition for those wanting all of the features that you can get. Today, we are going to take a closer look at each of these trim levels and see exactly what make each so special.
Sport
On the JK Jeeps, the base model is known as the Sport trim level. This trim level is going to feature all of the standard equipment that each following trim level is built off of. Although it is the base level, it still has many industry leading features that make it a great affordable choice. The most standout features are going to be 17” black steel wheels, a Command-Trac Two-Speed transfer case, a Unconnect 3 system with 5” touchscreen display Bluetooth Streaming Audio, a Zipperless Sunrider Soft top, available programmable auxiliary switches, a rear view camera, tow hooks and skid plates.
Sport S
The Sport S is going to feature all of the same great features as the Sport with a few new upgrades and substitutions. You will still get the easy to use Zipper less Sunrider soft top, but you will also enjoy many new additions. These new features on the Sport S include 17” Tech Silver aluminum wheels, a Power Convenience Group, Uconnect 4 system with a 7” touchscreen display, Bluetooth Audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Satellite Radio, and a leather wrapped steering wheel.
Sahara
Moving onto the more luxurious models, the Sahara is a widely popular choice among consumers for it’s added features. Just like the Sport S, the Sahara will carry over certain features but will get additional upgrades as well. For the 2018 Sahara, you will get 18” polished aluminum wheels with Tech Gray spokes, added side steps, body colored fender flares, the Uconnect 4 system, your choice of Selec-Trac Full-Time 4×4 system, a 7”reconfigurable driver information display, dual zone automatic temperature control, and an available signature LED exterior lighting group.
Rubicon
The top of the line for normally available Jeep JKs in 2018 is going to be the Rubicon trim level. For those wanting a JK with all of the available features without spending the money on a special model JK, the Rubicon is going to be your Jeep. While it features all of the same great features as the Sahara, it also gets 17” polished wheels with black pockets, 33” all terrain tires, locking front and rear Dana 44 heavy duty axles, Uconnect 4, a Rock-Track 4×4 system, electronic front sway bar disconnect, and a steel off road rock rail and skid plate package.
MOAB
Named after the popular Moab, Utah backcountry, the MOAB Jeep is the special edition JK you never knew you needed. Built specifically for the off-road, the MOAB has all of the top of the line features that are available on the 2018 JK with the addition of exterior black accents, unique front and rear steel bumpers, leather trimmed seats, hardtop, and much more!
